Butler Electric Summer Update

Do you ever look at your energy bill and wonder what it all means? If the answer is “yes,” then you might be interested to learn how demand impacts your electric bill. Fifty-three percent of Butler’s annual power bill is based on power consumed during the peak hours of 3 to 6 p.m. We have created a short video to help members better understand our 3 to 6 p.m. demand time frame. To view the video, go to www.butler.coop/how-am-i-billed.

Velocity Construction Continues

We continue to make strides on Velocity internet services. Construction has been completed on the 120-foot main tower located south of Andover on Butler Road. This tower will be used for both receiving signal for our View Local TV and also will house our first internet radios. We appreciate your patience as we work diligently to bring service to your area. For photos and project updates, go to BEC Velocity on Facebook to view the Velocity High Speed Minute.

Reed Retires after 27 Years

Best wishes to RICHARD REED on his recent retirement. Reed served as Butler’s mechanic for 27 years. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and took great pride in servicing the Butler fleet. Reed was a loyal employee and for that, I am forever grateful.
Best wishes in your retirement Richard!
