More About Stephen Unruh

Stephen Unruh and his wife, Marlys, live in northeast Harvey County. They have been married 31 years and have five children. Their family has lived in the Pleasant township east of Newton since 2003. Stephen graduated from Washburn University with a Business Administration Accounting degree in 1985 and has a Kansas CPA license.

He worked in public accounting for two years and has been employed by the Internal Revenue Service in Wichita, KS for 37 years. During these 37 years he has been an auditor, reviewer, and team manager. He has served on the Berean Academy school board as treasurer for 15 years and the Emmaus Mennonite Church board for 5 years. He enjoys gardening and assisting his children as they have mowed Harvey County Parks the past ten years.
